Memorable Music of the 1980's

What memories do you have of the 1980s? What music did you listen to back then? I remember a few hits from those days?

In the 1980's where I grew up in London, my memories consisted of me listening to songs from groups or idols like Wham, Duran Duran, Madonna, Spandau Ballet and Michael Jackson. What songs do you remember from the 1980's?

Duran Duran, especially, stood out for me in the early years of the 1980's, because I was a teenager and was madly in love with this group. They were an English rock band who managed to have many hits that made the Top 10 UK singles charts. Do you remember them?

Duran Duran sang songs, such as, “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Girls on Film,” “A View to a Kill,” “Is There Something I Should Know” and “Wild Boys.” I loved each and everyone of their songs. What really stood out for me was their videos. Watching them became a huge thing for me. Have you ever seen any of their music videos? Did you enjoy listening to Duran Duran?

Do You Remember a Band Called the Bay City Rollers?

I remember my early years growing up in the 1970s in London. Do you remember the 1970s? What were you doing during those years?

I have a memory of a pop group called the Bay City Rollers and the clothes they wore in those years. Do you remember them?

The Bay City Rollers were a Scottish pop band that were popular in the 1970's. They were the biggest group since The Beatles. I remember this because my friends and I idolized them at the time. They wore a new type of clothing, which I remember wearing. I wore check bottoms that hung just above my ankles. My friends were wearing them too. These type of clothing really stood out for me.

The Bay City Rollers say in the 1970's in the UK. Their songs flew high up in the UK pop charts. Young teenage girls swooned over this young pop group including myself and my friends.

The Bay City Rollers' songs stood out of for me during the 1970's and each of the tunes have a real significance for me. Some of their songs like 'Bye Bye Baby,' 'Saturday Night,' 'Shang-A-Lang' and 'Be My Baby' really did stand out for me. The songs each bring back a memory for me when I listen to them. Memories like hanging out with some of my old friends who lived in my neighborhood and from school. I remembered where I lived and what I did when I listened to this tunes.

Yummy Yummy World Buffet and Grill Restaurant Review in Maidstone Kent in the UK

I went out for a meal at a restaurant called Yummy Yummy World Buffet and Grill. These restaurants are all over England now and I found it to be one of the best eating places that I have been to in a while. Have you been there?

Yummy Yummy restaurants are ideal for eating exciting dishes like Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Thai and Italian. I went to the one in Maidstone, Kent. At this restaurant you can get up and choose foods from their buffet selection for £7.99 all you can eat per person. During the Christmas season their prices go up to £12.95 per person. The food was delicious. The buffet was regularly looked after by the staff too, making sure there was always enough food. Drinks are charged as extra on top of the main price.

The best part of this deal are the excellent dessert dishes that you can choose from in the all in one price. They serve desserts, such as, cakes, puddings, exotic fruits and the chocolate fountain is the best. You can get up and help yourself to marsh mellows on a stick and dip them into the chocolate fountain. If you enjoy desserts like this, then Yummy Yummy World Buffet and Grill is the best choice.

I thought eating at Yummy Yummy was excellent value for money, because you can get up and keep eating all night until you are completely full. You can even get up and try all the desserts. The one set price and the food was in perfect taste. The staff were very polite and came regularly to clear your plates away to make room on your table for more food to eat.

So, if you are looking for a place to eat out, then try Yummy Yummy, because you will not be disappointed.

I rate Yummy Yummy World Buffet and Grill 9 out of 10.

Anchor Brandy Cream Will Turn Your Coffee into a Liqueur

Do you like coffee liqueurs? I do.

I wanted to share this idea that I have been using over the holidays at Christmas time, because I think it is a cheap way to have a coffee liqueur. I bought a bottle of squirt Anchor Brandy Flavoured Cream in my local supermarket called Tesco in the UK. It's, also, on sale at Asda, Sainsburys, Aldi, Waitrose, Ocado and Morrisons, although, it may only have been on sale in these supermarkets during the holiday period.

The Anchor Brandy Flavoured Cream is a limited edition product just for grown ups. I paid less than £2 for one of these bottles. It contains 88% of cream along with 5% of Brandy. There are other Anchor flavoured cream bottles on sale that contain chocolate cream instead of brandy. Of course, I think the brandy cream is a bargain.

I used the brandy cream for a topping on Christmas puddings and mince pies at first, but then I fancied a coffee liqueur, so I started squirting the brandy cream into my coffee. It gave my coffee a kick and turned it into a brandy coffee liqueur. If you can find this bottle of Anchor Brandy Flavoured cream today in your stores, then you can use the cream on cakes or anything you fancy it on. I thought it was a great idea and I wanted to share this with everyone.

Do you enjoy brandy coffee liqueurs? Believe me when I say that squirting the Anchor Brandy Flavoured Cream into your coffee makes it very tasty. It sweetens the coffee plus gives it a great alcohol kick.

I don't think there are any bottles of Anchor Brandy Flavoured Creams left in stores now, but perhaps it can be found online somewhere. If there are some left in your local store, then I recommend you try it.

I rate the Anchor Brandy Flavoured Cream 9 out of 10. It's a great treat to have in your home.

The Merchant's House Museum in New York City is Haunted

When I went to New York city a couple of years ago, I went to visit the Merchant's House Museum. Have you been there?

The Merchant's House Museum was built in 1832 in Manhattan. Gertrude Tredwell was born in this house in 1840 and died in the upstairs' bedroom in 1933 in the bed that is in the photo below. Since, the 1930s, there have been reports that suggest that Gertrude Tredwell is haunting the house with strange happenings. Staff, volunteers, visitors, neighbors and even people walking by the house have reported seeing, hearing and smelling things that weren't there.

When I was inside the house, I took a few photos. The pictures above and below were taken of the main bedroom in the house where Gertrude Tredwell was born and died. This photo below was taken of the bed and it looks as if it has a ghost lying it. Can you see it? Look carefully. If you can see it, please let me know in the comments box. I would appreciate anyone letting me know if they can see it or not.

I remember that day. I was sitting down and trying listen to the sounds in the house. I felt strange and cold. I can remember staring at the bed in the photo too and I felt an eerie feeling of being watched.

I took this photo as I was sitting on a chair reading about the house. I think the house is definitely haunted, so I was not surprised when I took the photo of the bed and saw a figure lying on it. Apparently, as the story goes, quite a few people died in this very bed that is still in the Merchant's House. What do you think? Can you see a reflection of light over the bed?

The Haunting Hotel Called Ballyseede Castle in Ireland

I plan to visit Ireland next year where I will tour some of its counties. I have found a hotel, which is a haunted castle called Ballyseede Castle. I would like to spend a night in this castle, but I am a bit worried about the hauntings at this place. Do you think I should risk staying here for one night?

The Haunting of Malahide Castle in Dublin Ireland

My mother was from Southern Ireland. I visited there many times as a child and right up until I was 17 years old.

I am planning to visit Ireland this year and want to revisit some spots when I am there. We visited many areas and places, so here is a castle that I remember seeing many years ago.

Malahide Castle is in Dublin, Ireland. This a huge historical castle set on 250 acres of land and is situated in the seaside town of Malahide. This castle has been known to be haunted too.
